DMF or MMF is used when filtration volume is less and when space availability is a constraint. DMF is used as a replacement of PSF & ACF combination since DMF can filter the water effectively and consists of carbon / anthracite to remove organics

MCF is mostly used in RO plant as a protection for RO membranes. In MCF, suspended solids up to 1 micron size can be removed. It is can be installed only after filters or UF and cannot be used for high turbid water.
